The Come Back to Lake Lure Bluegrass Concert
For Immediate Release:
The Lake Lure Music Festival and the Lake Lure Community Education Foundation (LLCEF), along with Rumbling Bald on Lake Lure, are proud to present THE COME BACK TO LAKE LURE Bluegrass concert, Saturday, June 13th, 2026, with the main concert starting at 5:00 pm at the Beach Pavilion at Rumbling Bald on Lake Lure Lake!
The concert will feature 5X IBMA Entertainer of the Year nominee and GRAMMY nominee, The Po’ Ramblin’ Boys, with Western North Carolina-based IBMA Momentum award-winning artists, Carley Arrowood & Daniel Thrailkill, as our opener.
Festival Producing Artistic Director Chris Dolman stated that, “Celebrating the re-opening of Lake Lure for the first time since September, 2024, and all the hard work and inspiring stories of individuals and local businesses in Lake Lure, Chimney Rock Village, the Hickory Nut Gorge and Western North Carolina, we want our concert to kick off the beginning of a successful and busy summer in the area, bringing the community together for a late afternoon and early evening of joyful music on the lake. It’s a great time to come back and visit for several days and take in all there is to offer here, whether it’s music, hiking, great restaurants or the lake.”
He also said, “We’ve set our online ticket prices below our 2024 prices to encourage folks to come back and experience great music and food in a beautiful setting. Our limited Backstage Experience tickets are an especially unique opportunity…with complimentary food and drink, live acoustic performances from our bands backstage, a chance to meet and talk with band members – all backstage prior to the start of the main concert. The Backstage Experience Ticket will also include up-front seating near the stage.”
General Admission ticket holders are encouraged to bring beach chairs as the lawn and beach area are great spots to relax, eat and enjoy the music.
Rumbling Bald will again provide tasty food and drink for sale at a reasonable price. Please no coolers or outside food and drink.
In spite of Hurricane Helene in late September 2024, with the support of the community, the Festival, with its “Concert for Hickory Nut Gorge,” was again able to make donations in 2025 to the Lake Lure Classical Academy (LLCA), supporting the inaugural year of the school’s “Feed the Children” program, as well as providing funds for LLCA’s music program. The Festival also made donations to the Hickory Nut Gorge Outreach, which was earmarked to assist LLCA children and their families that experience food insecurity and the newly formed The Foundation for Lake Lure/Chimney Rock Area Businesses, which supports the long-term recovery of the community.
Dolman added, “We have great support from local businesses and individuals who help sponsor our concerts and are instrumental in all that we are able to do here. We’re focused on bringing stellar music and renowned musicians to the area, many that our audience might not usually get to see in the Gorge, with all of it in service to making contributions each year to vital local organizations.”
The Po’ Ramblin’ Boys are a 5X IBMA Entertainer of the Year nominee and GRAMMY-nominated Bluegrass band. In the 10 years as a band, they have covered a lot of miles. Their love of bluegrass – playing it, sharing it, growing it – has been the fuel for their remarkable journey through every corner of America and into the hearts of fans drawn to their hard-charging, true-blue sound. “We live what we play and sing about,” says bandleader C.J. Lewandowski.
They’ve worked hard to see their dreams come true, playing on some of music’s most celebrated stages. Amid all their travels, The Po’ Ramblin’ Boys have seen every nook and cranny of the country, met people from all walks of life, and kept a keen eye toward the truth, which rings out loud and clear in the songs they write. “Wanderers Like Me,” the band’s first No. 1 song on the Bluegrass Unlimited chart, shoots straight from the heart: “Wanderers like me, don’t settle down for no one/don’t mind being lonesome, chasing dreams is all I ever need.”
