If you love to flatfoot, clog, square dance or just tap your foot to old time mountain music, the Alleghany Jubilee is where you want to be! We are open year-round with a spacious wood dance floor and live mountain music every Tuesday and Saturday night. Taps allowed! The Jubilee is in the historic Spartan Theater building at 25 North Main Street in downtown Sparta, a small town nestled in the mountains of northwest North Carolina. We are handicap-accessible and family-oriented. Alcohol is strictly prohibited. Kids are always welcome! Come join the fun!
- Monday – Line Dancing Lessons (6:00 pm, band starts at 7:00 pm)
- Tuesday – Hillbilly Hoedown with the Rise and Shine Band (7:00 pm)
- Saturday – Dance with the hottest bands around! (7:00 pm)
The Jubilee, as it’s known here in Sparta, was originally the Spartan movie theater. Agnes and Ernest Joines reworked the interior so that, today, it’s the perfect place for dancing, meeting old (or new) friends or just listening to the music of the hills.
