Taste of the Arts presents the Big Round Dance

Come experience Sparta’s first “Big Round Dance!” This event has been inspired by the one in Waynesville, NC. What is it? Well, pretty much what it sounds like. All gather round, and dance! Hold your neighbor’s hand if you’re comfortable, and everyone goes in a circle. Dance away to curated traditional music, and listen for directional changes and fun dance moves to add in from a caller. It’s going to be fun, and the perfect way to kick off the weekend of the Mountain Heritage Festival!

This will be a free event for the entire community. All dancers are welcome, and no experience is needed. If you don’t want to dance, just come and enjoy the music. Be sure to bring a chair for when you are not dancing.
