Summer Tracks Concert Series

Tryon’s most popular music series—starts its season with  Sweet Megg on June 5 in Rogers Park. On tour with a brand-new album, Massive Negroni, Sweet Megg and her band “are a genre bending tour de force,” says Green Man Review. Performing original songs and putting her own spin on an array of classics, Megg brings venues alive with the sound of everything from cabaret to jazz to honky-tonk, from Tom Waits to Edith Piaf, from the music of the 1920s through present day. Monologging Magazine describes Sweet Megg and her band as “though they were plucked from a smoke-filled Prohibition-era speakeasy rather than formed on the New York City music scene.”

Rogers Park’s covered stage allows for shows rain or shine. Audience members are encouraged to bring rain gear. Any necessary weather updates or show cancellations will be posted on Summer Tracks’ Facebook page. Additionally this season, a food vendor will not be on site for the first three shows. However, several local restaurants—who are Summer Tracks supporters—have special box meals for sale. Menus will be posted on the Summer Tracks Facebook page. Alcohol consumption is allowed in the park, but alcohol is not for sale.
