Heritage Alive! Mountain Youth Talent Contest is designed to discover, develop, and encourage talent in traditional music in youth and to provide an opportunity for youth to perform on stage before an audience. Performances are judged; ribbons and cash prizes are awarded. Ages 5-18 are encouraged to participate. The contest is co-produced by Jackson County 4-H and Catch the Spirit of Appalachia
