Community Jam

5:30 pm to 7:30 pm
Come make music with us – bring your instruments and join our circle! Our new Community Jam is the perfect way to get to know some of our young Junior Appalachian Musicians and to get your feet wet if you’re new to jamming. The evening is strictly a Jam time (no instruction) but is open to all ages and abilities. The first half hour or so will be a slow-jam with simpler and easier songs – the goal is to create a nurturing environment to encourage budding musicians (and those with dusty instruments). You can email amber@stecoahvalleycenter.com for a list of our 10 core songs for the first half hour. If you are or become familiar with this group of songs you’ll be fine for the first half hour. After the first half hour the circle will take direction from the group as to what and how fast we play.
