Healing the Hollers will be an exceptional performance at the 2025 Earl Scruggs Music Festival. Held on August 30th (Day 2 of the festival), the concert highlights the songs and stories that emerged from Hurricane Helene, representing the resilience of the communities who weathered the storm. Unspoken Tradition will be joined by performers Laura Boosinger, Josh Goforth, Next of Singing Birds, and Lance Mills in this one-time-only event.
The concert is presented by The Bluegrass Situation and the Jazz Foundation of America. The Bluegrass Situation elevates the community surrounding American roots, music, culture, and lifestyle. From old-time, bluegrass, blues, country, Americana, and more, numerous music genres bring people together. BGS highlights the people, events, and music through editorial content, podcasts, concerts, videos, and more. The Jazz Foundation is dedicated to the music makers, those in the music industry who give their all to provide the soundtrack to life. In times of need, the Jazz Foundation is there to give musicians emergency assistance, create working opportunities, and connect with the community. The organization has been helping musicians across Western North Carolina and has teamed up with the Blue Ridge National Heritage Area to create numerous opportunities for musicians from May through November in the Blue Ridge Roots Revival Concert Series.
Thanks to the support of these two organizations, along with the efforts of the Earl Scruggs Music Festival, the Earl Scruggs Center, I AM AVL, and others this event will be streamed live on multiple Facebook pages and WNCW’s YouTube page, expanding its reach and impact. Online donations will be encouraged to support the Blue Ridge National Heritage Area and the Blue Ridge Music Trails.
