The Ashe County Chamber of Commerce will again sponsor a free and family-friendly musical celebration for High Country residents and visitors to the region.
The fifth-year celebration of Ashe Bash will have an impressive double-header of performers. Starting at 6:00 pm, International Bluegrass Music Association multi-award winners Darin & Brooke Aldridge will kick off the evening with the melodious bluegrass and gospel that have earned them national attention and opportunities to play at the Grand Ole Opry over 50 times. Darin is a gifted instrumentalist and vocalist, and Brooke is a four-time IBMA Female Vocalist of the Year. Their music and positive message will lift you up and leave you wanting to hear more!
After a short intermission, enjoy the return of crowd favorites, Scythian! Their high-energy blend of Celtic and Appalachian roots music will get you on your feet, laughing and dancing into the night! As the band that helped establish Ashe Bash as a favorite family event, it is exciting to have them return to the Coolest Corner for this anniversary event.
As in past years, the event will be held at the Ashe County Government Complex in Jefferson, with on-site food vendors, free parking, and free shuttles beginning at 5:00 pm. Guests are invited to bring a chair, but no alcohol or pets are allowed.
