Blue Ridge Roots Revival Concert Set for Burnsville, NC
Burnsville Town Center (6 S Main St, Burnsville, NC 28714) will host the next Blue Ridge Roots Revival series concert on Saturday, June 14th, at 7 pm. The show will take place just two weekends after Burnsville’s official reopening, and it is poised to bring the community together once again.
The Blue Ridge National Heritage Area and Jazz Foundation of America have partnered to create several shows and fund various musicians in Western North Carolina. They are also sponsoring several musicians at festivals, including two new events, the Rails & Rhythms Bluegrass Night (Old Fort) and Fly Around (Lansing), as well as the annual Stecoah Appalachian Evening (Robbinsville) and Earl Scruggs Music Fest (Mill Spring). Free concerts will also be at the Blue Ridge Parkway Visitor Center (Milepost 384, Asheville).
The show in Burnsville will feature North Carolina Heritage Award Winner Rhonda Gouge and her band, Keeping Time (Sam McKinney and Kathy Kuhne), and fiddler Carley Arrowood and guitarist Daniel Thrailkill. Tickets are available online, by calling the Burnsville Town Center at 828-682-7209, or the door the day of the concert. Suggested donation is $20-30.
*Rhonda Gouge and Carley Arrowood are featured on the Blue Ridge Heritage’s Traditional Artist Directory.
