DESCRIPTION:Join us on Monday\, June 15th at 7 p.m. in the Folk School’s Keith House Community Room! \nEnjoy a concert with The Quiet American\, a duo from Hood River\, Oregon. \nThen we’ll fold up the chairs to transition the concert to an 8 p.m. Little Middle Family Dance\nParty with caller Anna Claire Camp and musicians Meg Dedolf and Jonathan Whitall. \nThe Quiet American is husband and wife duo\, Aaron and Nicole Keim. They live an\nartistic life making music\, building instruments\, teaching\, writing books\, crafting art\, and raising\ntheir son Henry. Their connection to folk tradition is undeniable\, even so\, they find new ways\nto sing old songs and incorporate music and art into performance. DESCRIPTION:Re.Imagine is beyond thrilled to feature an exhibit of David Holt’s paintings and photographs.\n\n\nMany of you know David for his music\, his four Grammy awards\, and his PBS television shows. But David is also a talented painter and photographer. He has captured the faces of many of the Appalachian pioneers who shared their music and stories with him over the years.\n\n\nHis new book\, Mentors & Friends: The End of an Era\, is currently in development. You will be able to sign up to express interest and be notified as soon as the book is available for purchase.\n\n\n\nThe exhibit will be on display from May 31 through August 31.\nThe opening reception will be held on May 31\, 1 pm to 5 pm.\nA second reception will be held on June 28\, 1 pm to 5 pm.\n\n\nLearn more here.
