SUMMARY:Music at The Depot in Marshall
DESCRIPTION:Please read for updates due to the effects of Hurricane Helene.  The events that are normally held at the Marshall Depot will be held in a different location until we have further information. \n\nWe are going to keep our Strictly Bluegrass Jam with Host Branson Raines going. Every Monday night at 7:00 p.m. beginning Tonight\, Nov. 4 at the Historic Methodist Church in the Walnut Community. The address is 15 Barnard Road\, Marshall\, NC. All Bluegrass lovers\, listeners\, pickers are welcome to join us to play\, sing and fellowship. The strongest thing we will have to drink is Coffee! There is no charge\, we will keep the music free! Don’t let us down now\, come on out to support our musicians.\n\n\n\n\nThe Acoustic Jam will continue on Thursday nights at 7:00 p.m. at the Church as well. Calvin Parham and Logan Clark will host the Jam.\n\n\n\n\nPlease see a description below for all the events that used to happen at The Marshall Depot pre Hurricane Helene. \nDiscover and enjoy the vibrant local music scene of Madison County. The Marshall Depot has three events each week. \nLive shows every Friday night starting at 6:30 pm.  Three local bands perform one-hour sets. Dancing\, cake walks\, 50-50 tickets\, refreshments for sale\, and an opportunity to fellowship with our community.  No admission fee.\n\nEvery Monday at 7:00 pm\, local fiddler Branson Raines hosts a Strictly Bluegrass Jam.  Jam is open to pickers\, singers\, and listeners.  All playing levels are welcome—no admission fee.\n\nEvery Thursday night at 7:00 pm\, Logan Clark and Calvin Parham host an Acoustic Jam.  The Jam is open to all acoustic musicians\, singers\, and listeners.  All playing levels are welcome.  No admission fee.\n\nThe building is the original Southern Railroad Depot for the town of Marshall and served as the depot until the 1970’s when passenger service was discontinued. In 1980 the Depot became the new Friday night jam spot and continues to this day. \nThe Depot is great for the whole family and you won’t be able to stop yourself from dancing! \nIf you’re looking to get a taste of the local Madison County music scene\, the Depot in downtown Marshall is a great place to experience it.
