It’s that time of year again!
The annual Blue Ridge Heritage Weekend on the Shelton House grounds is drawing near! For two days in August, visitors to the grounds will be able to shop multiple craft vendors, enjoy bites from several food trucks, and listen to live music from talented musicians! This festival is a joy for our staff and visitors alike, and we hope you’ll be able to join us. The festival is open on August 9th from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and on August 10th from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Admission is free! Keep reading for details on music, food trucks, and more! We are so excited to see you all there.
This year, the festival is headed by Darian Smathers, who is also our new Assistant Museum Director and Gift Shop Manager. We want to take this moment to thank her for all of her hard work — none of this would be possible without her energy!
