Beginning April 1st, PBS stations across the United States will start broadcasting David Holt’s State of Music, a one-hour program showcasing the music traditions of the North Carolina mountains and foothills. The program premiered first in North Carolina on UNC-TV in January, 2015.
Filmed on location in Western North Carolina, the program is hosted by music ambassador David Holt, who introduces viewers to modern masters of traditional music in the Southern mountains and remembers the legends who taught him.
