Silvermont Mansion

Built in 1902 by Joseph and Elizabeth Silversteen, the Silvermont Mansion is a 33-room Colonial Revival mansion, which is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. The Transylvania County Archives is located on the second floor which contains more than 400,000 documents. Local heritage music is heard at the mansion on Thursday evenings throughout the year.
