Women! Mount Airy Old-Time Retreat

Make time for Old-Time and enjoy learning from some of the area's best old-time women musicians. Classes and jams will be led by women, but ALL are welcome to register and participate.

Classes will be held in venues at the Andy Griffith Playhouse and Museum locations. Classes include fiddle, banjo, guitar, bass, and mandolin, vocals/dancing. There will also be jams that incorporate dancing. Classes will be small as retreat attendance is limited to no more than 50. Participants are free to change classes until class size limit is met.

2019 Instructors include: Caroline Beverley, Emily Spencer, Erynn Marshall, Martha Spencer, Meredith McIntosh, Terri McMurray, and Trish Kilby Fore.

The Mount Airy Old-Time retreats are supported in part by the Department of Natural & Cultural Resources, with funding from the National Endowment for the Arts and the North Carolina Arts Council, a division of the Department of Natural and Cultural Resources.
