Concerts, Workshops and Exhibits at the Earl Scruggs Center

The Earl Scruggs Center combines the life story of legendary five-string banjo master and Cleveland County native, Earl Scruggs, with the unique and engaging story of the history and cultural traditions of the region in which Mr. Scruggs was born and raised. Engaging exhibits, special event space and rich programming provide a uniquely rich experience for visitors all year long.

  • Saturday, April 6  - (6:00 pm) Southern Delights Night with Darin and Brooke Aldridge, Cost: $85/person or $160/couple.  Enjoy a night out at the Earl Scruggs Center with dinner and a show!  Join us for a concert with Darin and Brooke Aldridge and a three-course dinner by the chefs at Bleu Barn Bistro.Each Ticket Includes: One specialty cocktail, Three-course dinner with your choice of entrée, One drink ticket to use at dinner (cash bar will be available for additional beverages), Intimate concert with Darin and Brooke Aldridge.
  • Saturday, July 20 - (4:00 pm) Laura Boosinger and Josh Goforth in concert, Tickets TBA. Laura Boosinger has won glowing reviews wherever she appears and is blessed with an ‘essence of the mountains’ spirit that can take you back to the good old days when folks used to huddle around the radio. It’s said that people who haven’t seen her ‘live’ should prepare themselves for a “goose pimples experience.” Josh Goforth is an outstanding musician, acclaimed fiddler, guitar picker, mandolin player and storyteller, from Madison County, North Carolina.  Josh has already garnered a Grammy nomination and has established himself as a great producer as well as stunning instrumentalist. Sing Out magazine called Josh and Laura’s latest CD, “Most of all,”  “Simple, direct and as good as it gets.”
  • Saturday, September 21 - (All Day) Exhibit Opening – Daniel Coston photography, Cost: Included with Museum Admission: $12/Adult, $8/Senior/College, $5/ages 6 – 17 years.
